yes, i can access the metadata (via `change the information'), but i cannot `change the files' (to rename a file)

again, i can't duplicate the problem. i accessed it with no issue.

metadata editor works, item manager works. `checkout -- edit item's files' doesn't work.

same behavior for two machines
