There is no reason to assume a movie is p.d. because it was released in 1934.

There would be some reason to assume a movie that was released in 1934 and that is sold by distributors of public domain films is p.d.

I did not assume it. It was on PD listings but that could be old info. When the claim came up, I thought it best to post here to pool resources/info. Thanks for your reply.
