because that is the nature of project gutenberg. all the books are typed by hand, no scanning. and becasue of that they are very accurate to the originals unlike many OCR text files created from scans.

Jeff,sorry I dont know where to get the urls,but on the front page of Gutenberg in audio section(recently reviewed and just in) all the files listed are text only.

just want to say thanks for bringing this to our attention. we made some changes which should result in those items not being in the audio collection. it will be a few more days before it's completed.
