Help Uploading FTP Critical File Error |
Error: Critical file transfer error
Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (207,241,226,117,186,153)
Command: STOR Root Protection.mp3
Response: 553 Prohibited file name: Root Protection.mp3
I have tried it with a browser too and it just plays the songs in the browser instead of uploading them. I tried two different FTP clients Filezilla and Easy FTP, I followed the instructions but it will not let me upload, it has a problem with the filenames for some reason. In easy FTP it was error 550.
Please help me.

From the FAQ: The folder or files that you are attempting to upload have characters in the name that cause problems with the system - so we have designated them "illegal". This includes the following characters in the name:
* ( ) { } [ ] / \ $ % @ # ^ & | < > ' ~ ` ! ? +
In addition, files and folders may not have spaces in their names.You will need to remove any of these illegal characters by renaming the file(s) in order for the system to accept your contribution.
