Black Fist |
I'm wanting to use two super-quick clips from this rare public domain blaxploitation film (Black Fist) for my short film. From the research I've done so far, I believe it is PD due to incorrect copyrights, which should mean it is useable. Also, I doubt I'd ever get any heat for such a film, which I'm sure could be the case for some big PD films with elapsed copyrights.
Anybody have any tips here? HUGE thanks. We're running out of time before festival deadlines and I wan to make sure I'm 100% in the right here.

Re: Black Fist |
You're correct the film's copyright notice only contains the copyright symbol, year and "all rights reserved". It doesn't include the claimant's name, therefore, it is incomplete and invalid.
