please provide a url. there is a good chance that there are no content files in the item so there is nothing to read.

Thanks for the reply, Jeff.
OK, it makes sense.
I assumed the upload process made content viewable when it's uploaded.
I just don't understand the process.
One example is this 1912 magazine.

yes. unfortunately they did not format it in a way to derive readable formats. that one will remain a bunch of images.
