both just started for me in MacOSX/Firefox with no issues and I am on a very slow network. of the two American Empire took the longest to start. I see that it was uploaded in 2004 which partly explain that symptom. since it is using an old 512Kb MPEG4 it does not have the header front loaded like the current h.264 derived files.so, it needs to load the entire file before it starts since the header is at the end. but, the both started fine for me so my guess is that the problem lies elsewhere. what version of Firefox are you using and what OS?

I have the same issue with both my Mac and PC.
The Mac OS is OSX 10.5.8 with Firefox 3.6.25
The PC is windows 7 with the latest version of Firefox. It automatically updates.
The way I discovered this problem was I had two people email me to tell me the movies weren't loading, so it's more than my computer. This has not been a problem in the past.

unless i can duplicate the issue i can't really troubleshoot it. and, if you're using FF 3.6.25 in MacOSX you might want to consider installing a newer version.

Understandable, Thanks for taking the time with me on this.
I guess I'll just consider it a glitch in the system and see how it plays out.
