Re: Problem with edits to pages - Changes to processing or new rules? |
Jeff,
Thanks for the response. I found the thumbnail link problem myself this morning. It came from not checking my backups. The thumbnail links were converted to local links when I save the page HTML for backup purposes. I forgot to correct them when I uploaded the backup description text on the metadata page. I fixed the thumbnail links earlier this morning.
Unfortunately, there is still a problem that the text in the description window is being truncated at about 54k characters. In the description window, I need about 200K characters to have a complete Volume 2 page and 260k characters for the Volume 1 page. I've checked and double checked that the description window text is complete when I click the "Submit" button. None the less, the description text is truncated sometime after "Submit" and before the page is refreshed for display.
If this is a new policy for Archive, it is a problem. This page is associated with many of the free audio books at LibriVox. If I have to break this page (and the Volume 1 page) up into smaller pages to accommodate a limit on the amount of text in the description window, then both I and the LibriVox people are going to have a large burden changing links many other web pages.
I'm hoping this is a temporary issue, which will be fixed soon. If it is a new policy, do you know who I'd communicate with about it?
Thanks again.
