it looks like none of your image source tags have http://www.archive.org/download/ chunk before the [item directory/[image file].

For instance your first tag is:
"LibrivoxPlainVanillaCdCaseInsertsVolume2-20120222_files/20000_Leagues_Under_The_Seas_Version_2-thumb_002.jpg" alt="20000 Leagues Under The Seas (Version 2) Thumbnail Image"

when it should be:
"http://www.archive.org/download/LibrivoxPlainVanillaCdCaseInsertsVolume2-20120222_files/20000_Leagues_Under_The_Seas_Version_2-thumb_002.jpg" alt="20000 Leagues Under The Seas (Version 2) Thumbnail Image"

i believe this is the reason the images are not appearing.

Jeff,

Thanks for the response. I found the thumbnail link problem myself this morning. It came from not checking my backups. The thumbnail links were converted to local links when I save the page HTML for backup purposes. I forgot to correct them when I uploaded the backup description text on the metadata page. I fixed the thumbnail links earlier this morning.

Unfortunately, there is still a problem that the text in the description window is being truncated at about 54k characters. In the description window, I need about 200K characters to have a complete Volume 2 page and 260k characters for the Volume 1 page. I've checked and double checked that the description window text is complete when I click the "Submit" button. None the less, the description text is truncated sometime after "Submit" and before the page is refreshed for display.

If this is a new policy for Archive, it is a problem. This page is associated with many of the free audio books at LibriVox. If I have to break this page (and the Volume 1 page) up into smaller pages to accommodate a limit on the amount of text in the description window, then both I and the LibriVox people are going to have a large burden changing links many other web pages.

I'm hoping this is a temporary issue, which will be fixed soon. If it is a new policy, do you know who I'd communicate with about it?

Thanks again.

hi,
i haven't forgotten about you. still trying to resolve the issue. there were some changes which now limit the characters in the description field when you modify existing items. it limits it to approximately 60K characters. Your external links should be fine since all the files are still in that item. i've not yet been able to get a workable solution to allow more that the 60K characters. moving forward i would say that any new items you create should keep this limitation in mind.

there were some changes to how tasks run recently that may have effected this. i'll discuss it with an engineer and get back to you asap.
