problem with "Doctor in Industry (Part III) (1946)" |
I have watched and enjoyed parts 1 and 2 of the "Doctor in Industry" three part series, but unfortunately part-3 is missing.
The file listed as part-3 is only another copy of part 2. I see that a previous viewer identified this problem seven years ago, so I thought I would check again to see if the third part has yet come available.
Thanks for the effort of all the volunteers who make this site available.

Re: problem with 'Doctor in Industry (Part III) (1946)' |
I had a spare forty minutes or so this morning and checked a big pile of my downloads I hadn't watched yet, and another several online previews. It seems every upload - or nearly so - made since December shares this problem. It's difficult to tell with many of the home movies, since they're so worn and shaky anyway, but in the industrial films, especially the ones that have an earlier encode for comparison, the oddity is unfortunately obvious. I described the problem in detail in this thread:
http://archive.org/post/416778A screen grab is included comparing two archive encodes of the same film.
I wish I'd noticed it earlier so I could have called it to the staff's attention. Here's hoping the only time wasted was that of a batch-encoding program's.
