Re: Bulletin: archive.org system maintenance this weekend |
No we're done with that maintenance. What is the item URL and please explain the failure in a bit more detail.

Re: Bulletin: archive.org system maintenance this weekend |
Hi Jeff,
The item is
http://archive.org/details/thebugcastI added two files to that item yesterday, and I've clicked on Update Item! All I'm getting is the green progress bar, and it doesn't actually appear to save the changes.
Cheers,
Dave

Re: Bulletin: archive.org system maintenance this weekend |
the server is temporarily offline. you can see a yellow stripe through the server id at
http://www.archive.org/catalog.php?history=1&identifier=thebugcast. just be patient and it will finish when it is back online in a day or two. do not keep trying to rerun the same tasks. thanks.

Sorry to bother, Jeff, but is there any news on the fix? It's been 36 hours since my first upload attempt.
Cheers,
Dave

Re: Bulletin: archive.org system maintenance this weekend |
it's the weekend so i suspect you will need to wait until at least monday, maybe even tuesday depending on the workload. always lots of stuff going on and we don't have a big staff.

Re: Bulletin: archive.org system maintenance this weekend |
Thanks for the information... I wasn't aware of the catalog.php page, but it looks really useful.
Also, I didn't realise that tasks like this got queued up... it would be good to see some kind of feedback from the "Update Item!" action, rather than it sitting there with no information.
Thanks again,
Dave
