Basically what would happen is you would edit the document, then upload it to Internet Archive as a new work. Then leave a note in the review section of the original work where to find the edited version. It's kind of kludgy but there is no way to edit a document directly.

Really though the best way is to join Distributed Proof Readers, who take OCR's from Internet Archive, distribute chapters out to volunteers who check for errors (much easier to commit time for one chapter than an entire book). DPP then uploads the completed book to Project Gutenburg. DPP is the main source of Project Gutenberg books. I imagine if you join DPP you could put in a request for this book.

Thanks, so I'll do that, I mean join Distributed Proof Readers. The mentioned book is pretty short and consists of small vignettes and aphorisms so I thought it would be a good place to start.
