For The Billboard, Volume 20 (July 4 1908 - Sept 26 1908), uploaded to Community Texts, resulted in task id 92548236, with error "exceeds 2 GB, quitting here to flag need for investigation."

Help appreciated thanks.

Hi it did derive, but every other page is blank, or has big blank sections, the original PDF doesn't have blank spaces. Appears to be a problem in the derivation.

it is images that are missing. pdfs can be complex and in some cases the way the images are embedded can cause them to fail in derive.

Stbalbach,

Try downloading the file, opening it in Irfanview, check the security on the file, I generally strip everything out, make sure it is not an embedded text file, and then re-save it as an Irfanview PDF file. I ran into such problems when pulling public domain stuff off other sites, PDF, video, audio files. I try not to use Adobe or Microsoft applications since often they stick crap in the file which causes corruption.

If this does not work there are other things which can be tried.

Gerry
