Re: How can one edit an older entry posted by the author? |
Thanks, Jeff
It's the only account that I have - I did have different e-mail address then - it could have been rhelbig@california.com or rhelbig@sfo.com (I expect it was still california.com) - both of those no longer exist because that ISP first changed to sfo.com and then decided to leave the ISP business and closed the sfo.com server down in July 2011. I also can not comment on these posts and it welcomes me, so how do I fix that.
Roger

Re: How can one edit an older entry posted by the author? |
Much appreciate your latest reply and also your kind help with solving/fixing some of these problems.
The "bad" character that you mentioned was a Polish letter that appears in the name of the logician \L{}ukasiewicz (Lukasiewicz), and is a special Polish character that is widely accepted by other web editors. Thank you for fixing that entries title for me as I was unable to access it in order to edit out that "bad" character which you mentioned.
With regards to the other articles whose URLs I have listed before-- as I have already indicated-- the Contributions list at the Internet Archive website specifies that the email address was the same for all of them. The only possibility that I see after our exchanged messages is that by some typing error of mine, unintentionally, the user name was incorrectly typed in by me at the login, even though this is still only a remote possibility. One remaining alternative may be that I may not have realized that I was not already logged in, but that seems to be eliminated by the presence of my email address in the Contributions list with all those entries, unless one can upload articles on the website without being logged in, unintentionally, or inadvertently, thinking that one was logged in ? Somehow, I think that would be very unlikely to have occurred.
(As far as I know, I only have one account at this website, with only one email address, and only one user name; the files whose URLs were specified were obviously also not generated by somebody else!)
