you uploaded your own mp4s which is fine. but if they don't have the fast start atom then the entire file needs to load before it starts playing. with a large file and a relatively slow ISP chances are the video would play but it would take a long time to start. most users think it's not working, it just takes a very long time.

better to upload either a higher res file as the original (like an mpeg2) or use the extension mpeg4 rather than mp4. since the system will not see an mp4 it will derive one and the archive derived mp4s have the fast start atom.

Thanks for the quick response. I think II'm just going to post them as wmv. I have one video that seems to work in that format. Thanks again.

that's because the player uses mp4s and the archive derived the mp4 from the wmv.
