Thank you. I'm just confused why it had that preview-kind-of-thing before and what happened to that -- I wondered what I had done that messed it up (because I don't want to mess it up again).

And that was the one I was MORE successful with.

But the one I REALLY wanted to upload was this one:

which I cannot get to work at all ... so I had tried that smaller file with the worms too.
If you can 'kickstart' this

somehow at all, I'd appreciate it.
I think I might have to re-upload it though, and I have to get the DVD from somebody else to do it again (so I can't try that just now).

if you click on the "All files:HTTP" link you see there is no video format file only metadata http://ia600303.us.archive.org/16/items/CrabsChampionshipGameVsNeptune/.

Files that are larger than 2GB need to be uploaded and the item created through the ftp server http://www.archive.org/create.php?ftp=1. if you do this follow through to the last step, check in.

OK thanks.

I'll have to get the DVD.

For the worms, I tried to get it to derive, but it didn't seem to understand what I wanted it to do, and after it decided that it was just an "image" and not a "movie" I couldn't find a way to change that myself.
Is there some other way that I should be able to do the Deriving that you did (on the worms)?

yes, follow this click path starting on the item page:
Edit item > change the information > Item Manager (at top of page) > click the "derive" button
