the announcements section was recently changed to an rss feed from http://blog.archive.org/category/announcements/ so thanks for bring this to our attention. i'll try to get this fixed asap.

Thanks for the quick reply Jeff. I would suggest you have a quick click through of the RSS feeds for all of the forums. At least three of them that I click on were not feeding any updates.

In regard to reporting bugs. Thank you for the information, this does however seem like a very onerous task for whomever is at the end of info AT archive.org. Wouldn't it be better for the IA to use some bug tracking software like Trac or Bugzilla. Surely it would make it easier for IA staff to manage the bugs and to reduce duplicate bugs being emailed into the staff.
