the pdf file was not properly names. i changed it to SignalProcessing_523.pdf and am running a derive. when it's done there should be an OCR text file as one of the available formats.

I just found that the OCR didn't output right. My pdf is Chinese simplified mostly with a few English words.

I was wondering what software is used for OCR?
Are there some limitations on this website's OCR? Also some webpages on this site that have explanation on this?

we use abbyy finereader 8.0. not sure but i suspect we don't OCR chinese characters at this time.

Thanks! Nice to know you are using Abbyy finereader! It is great! It supports many languages including Chinese Simplified. Hope one day this site will support other languages.
