Your zips are not formed correctly. Using Jeremiah_White_Graves_Diary_Volume_3_Book_03 as an example, the zip file needs to be formed this way:

1. all image files inside need to have the same identifier name as the item so the first file (regardless of the page number on the book itself) would be:
Jeremiah_White_Graves_Diary_Volume_3_Book_03_0000.jpg

2. the directory (folder) also need the identifier name:
Jeremiah_White_Graves_Diary_Volume_3_Book_03_jpg

3. so the resulting zip will be:
Jeremiah_White_Graves_Diary_Volume_3_Book_03_jpg.zip

4. now upload the file by using Edit item" > "change the files" which will take you to:
http://ia600602.us.archive.org/edit.php?identifier=Jeremiah_White_Graves_Diary_Volume_3_Book_03

5. after the new zip is uploaded start a new derive here by going into "Item manager" and click "derive".

I did it for this item as an example. It's deriving now and should be ok once that task is completed successfully.

Also, you should delete the old _images.zip file.

Then I guess the new, fault-tolerant upload format doesn't work with re-derive. I'll poke around some more and see if I can come up with some alternatives.

Deleting the _images.zip file and uploading an old-style rigorously-named _jpg.tar file seems to have correctly derived Volume 3, Book 8 which was my test. I'll go rename and re-upload the other books in the volume.

Thanks for all the help!
