JK, I would've agreed with you before the release of "Standing In The Shadows Of Motown". That gave "The Funk Brothers" much long overdue recognition. Sadly, the "house bands" at most 60's record labels toiled in relative obscurity. And sadly since they were kept in the background, they were often under-appreciated and grossly underpaid. It was simply the nature of the beast.
