i'll certainly pass this information along.
you might also consider how downloads are tabulated. downloads are counted this way:
-only 1 download per IP per day is counted. so playing the item several times in one day will not add to the count.
- a download is counted when the first file is played. subsequent files played in the same item on that day do not add to the count.

Yes, I've noticed mine are all down too - I have 17 releases in my netlabel and not one download in over a week now. I've downloaded files from a few of them to see if it was actually a lack of downloads but nothing has updated.

I can support this also, our last release has been frozen at the same number for over two weeks, and the latest release has not moved at all. We get a lot of downloads on our releases every time they are available and this latest hasn't registered one download despite myself trying to download one copy to see if it went up.
I am also aware the counter refreshes every day around 5am GMT.

This seems to happen quite a lot. I post items to Archive.org often gauge interest and test my means of advertisement. Shouldn't it be possible to restore the download count since the item was posted to when the counter is fixed? I feel like many times, those initial downloads when the item is fresh and just released are lst forever...

this is the case, they are lost. i've had releases very close to dates where the counter breaks which looks like we get next to 0 downloads for some things. i could see why artists would be upset looking at a poor download count for their release and avoid archive.org altogether.
i just hope this gets fixed soon, uploading a scheduled release now...
thanks to everyone working to get the download counter back up, hopefully there will be a permanent fix sometime soon.

BTW, how does one check their stats? I don't see anything in the FAQ about this ability.
