wordpress.com does not support flash so the player won't work there. if you have your blog hosted at a site that supports flash and javascript then it should work.

Oh thank you so much for getting back to me. I suppose I am bit confused. If you check out our site, you will notice that I was able to embed the players in the side bar as widgets. Not sure why. I guess wordpress is not the place for us? www.yougetitgotitgood.com.

Thx

i believe (but i could be mistaken) it works because your site is hosted by wordpress.org. is your blog on wordpress.com or wordpress.org?

I spotted this note in Wordpress help. Note sure what to make of it...

"Archive.org can be used to host podcast audio files but archive.org uses re-directs on the file paths it publishes - this confuses WordPress, and consequently, the Podcast publication fails (missing enclosure tag error).

To avoid this error, if you are hosting your audio files on archive.org, you need to add a Custom Field called "enclosure" and paste the full url for the mp3 file in the Value field. "

well ok. guess give that a try.

what they are referring to is that since files are moved from server to server the direct explicit server url will no longer work.so for a file like this (chosen at random):
http://ia700107.us.archive.org/13/items/ragbirds2010-05-31.midside/ragbirds2010-05-31d01t01.mp3

the permalink for the same file that would not break would substitute some of the address and look like this:
http://www.archive.org/download/ragbirds2010-05-31.midside/ragbirds2010-05-31d01t01.mp3

perhaps wordpress forums would help. i don't have experience with embedding our player in wordpress and am just passing along info that i've picked up along the way.

Did you figure out how to use wordpress with archive.org? I'm trying to get wordpress to recognise where the podcast is. Any ideas?
