no. we are having some ongoing technical issues that are occassionally preventing metadata from being edited. nothing you did wrong there.
The derive is an automatic function that kicks in once you have finished uploading using the onsite uploader (the http) or after you have checked in an ftp upload (if you follow the ftp directions displayed when you use ftp). It creates the other formats of your file (ogg, mp3, etc.)
Not sure why the derive didn't automatically start on yours. If a derive does not automatically start you can start it manually in the item-manager section of your item.
