Well, I gotta tell ya Jeff. I don't know where in the conversation you stepping in on, but the folks around here have been subject to a fair amount of abuse, and I think we're doing our dangest to maintain our politeness and self-moderation.

Have you looked at the post history of the person in question? It consists of nothing but completely unprovoked racial, ethnic and religious slurs. It is hate speech. This isn't a squabble among forumites, this is a sick and hateful person posting hate speech. This shouldn't be tolerated. Please remove this person and ban their IP. I really don't see why this isn't done if you just look at their post history. This isn't about "self-moderating" and there is nothing to "gather" in anything he spills, except perhaps eventually legal troubles.

Hmmm--you have been around here a while...yeah, I thought it was amazing they did "something", but couldn't agree more that to typify it as what we used to experience with Trolls, is a bit of an over-statement.
