Thanks,
I added some other files but they have not entered the player.

(I saw a note about having to update things within 3 days, but I'm not sure if that is a real constraint here.)

Is there something I should be doing when I upload to get the songs derived so they will work as streaming audio?

yes. when an item is originally created files are automatically derived to several formats. if you add files later you need to re-derive by going into item manager and clicking the derive button.
