Can you give an example book? I'll try it and see what happens. Are you able to right-click and save the file to disk (rather than left-click and opening directly with Adobe).

"The correspondence and diary of Philip Doddridge" I can download Vol 1 but Vol 2-5 will not download. Also Arthur Dent's 'Poorman's Pathway' will download several pages and then stop. Thanks for your help! Marty

Marty,
I didn't have a problem getting "The Plain Man's Pathway". If the right-click method works use that instead (then open Adobe as a separate program and load the file that way). Your not the first to mention this problem, there may be some time-out issue with the web browsers Adobe plug-in with large files and/or slow internet connection.
