This award-winning film features nine unique schools, both public and private, California to East Harlem. In these unique schools relationship, creative thinking, and direct experience are valued above memorization of facts. As we struggle with issues of how to provide a quality education for all children, we might look to these successful schools where teachers, students, parents and administrators are involved in creating supportive educational environments.

I'm sure this is way fantastic...
I haven't watched this yet, but based on the topic I'm amazed and slightly appalled that this only has one review while the video "When Abortion Was Illegal" has pages of reviews, mostly inane, completely lacking in rational thought, and faith-based talking about how the filmmaker is going to hell and insulting each other...
That seems to say to me that things on which there is a lack of consensus, there will be more comments and discussion (if you can call it that) and of course things that can be connected to religion in some way. So it just made me sad to see that since there is only one review on this page, that seems to mean there is a consensus that the education system needs fixing and maybe even that the program put forth in the film doesn't even need any alterations - and yet our education system is still shit and no one's doing much about it. It's discouraging to see that so many people are so ill-informed and unable to think and also don't care that they're that way.
I couldn't leave this site without posting something, and would like to have posted something on the abortion video page, but I'm afraid the vast, vast majority of the reviews there were too dense for any rational thought to penetrate.
maybe there can be some discussion on this page.
