For an hour every day, the show uses the Internet to talk about the world. Bloggers in Kenya, podcasters in the US Army on the Iraqi border, legions of Wikipedia editors: Open Source puts their voices on the air with the thinkers and writers who can help make great conversation (and sense of the world). As the producers book the show, you're tracking their progress at radioopensource.org, telling them who to call next.

Open Source is an hour-long daily arts and current affairs public radio talk show produced jointly by the University of Massachusetts - Lowell and Open Source Media, Inc. It is presented by WGBH radio in Boston and distributed nationally by Public Radio International. According to the Wikipedia (and to the truth) host Christopher Lydon was the first podcaster, way back in 2003; he's been making radio since he and Executive Producer Mary McGrath started "The Connection" in 1994. Chris covered five Presidential campaigns for the Boston Globe and The New York Times, and anchored "The Ten O'Clock News" at WGBH-TV in Boston for ten years.
