Here is our thesis animation completed at RIT.
It is the story of an impetuous Chinese monk who finds he has a thing or two to learn from an unlikely source. The animation is rendered in a brushpainted style reminiscient of old Te Wei films. Enjoy!

Subject: Very enjoyable
The music was great, the animation was fun and dynamic, and the story line was inspirational and provocative. May the way of the Mantis and its spirit endure.

Subject: A Little Masterpiece
One of the finest animations I've seen on the Archive. The artwork is extraordinary.

A young martial arts pupil learns the wisdom of the humble mantis.

Subject: TOO simple
some detail in the graphics might have pulled it off for me-looks like a hand shakes worth of time was spent on it.

Subject: Students creates Masterpiece
Excellent work here. Classic tale of the student learning through observation and deduction of the natural world around him, resulting in his evolution into the master's approval. Much like The Way, this cannot be described, only experienced.
