Danny Schechter, executive editor, MediaChannel.org
Danny Schechter explores the rapidly changing ways in which we receive our information. He believes that media, the field in which he has worked for four decades, is harming our democracy. Are the major news corporations doing more harm than good? Can independent media, empowered with the tools of a technological revolution, do any better?
Danny Schechter, "The News Dissector", launched a media career in Boston on WBCN Radio. He became a Nieman Fellow in Journalism at Harvard, a reporter at WGBH, a producer at WLVI and WCVB, and then went on to CNN and ABC News where he won two Emmys.

Danny Schechter asks Is Media Harming Democracy
I downloaded the audio version of this because even though I don't mind watching video I like to use the least amount of space on my media for every unique file (or sets of files) when I can. Getting this in its audio version saved me some free data storage space on my media player. From what I heard some of the sound cuts out in the middle of this at various points but from what I heard Schechter gave an intelligent, well thought out presentation.
