Mr Ed Rocks!
I'm a twenty-two-year-old and I love this show! I remember when I was a child , I use to love to watch Mr Ed, Looney Tunes, Batman (The Animated Series), and listen to R.E.M.. Mr Ed is one of the best TV Shows ever, Jerry Falwell be damned this show was in no way demonic.

What a great sitcom "Mr. Ed" would be today!
Being 57 yrs. old now & disabled for last 4 yrs. or so, I've found it comforting to know that when I'm having sleep deprevation problems in very early morning hours, I can tune into THIS network & watch reruns of "Mr. Ed", the show I grew up with as a youngster. Maybe I'm wrong & maybe I'm not, but I'd bet that if one of the networks ran a newer version of the sitcom, it would be a big hit with many people tuning in. Even the original scripts are humorous today & wouldn't need much changing. Plus, with todays advanced special effects, they wouldn't have to use a nylon wire or peanut butter to make it look like good ol' Ed was talking. Thanks!

Empty Feedbag Blues
Greetings fellow Ed lovers. I found my way here today for the first time due to another sturdy animal. My neighbours sorely fed up Amex pit bull who was barking the recognised chords of the empty belly blues, home alone again.
Which as a random thought reminded me of the classic Ed episode about having the empty feedbag blues. So on line to surf for the lovable rogue. And here he is. Great to see the old poser again after all these years

Connie Hines
Believe it or not I saw a recent pic of her..and she STILL LOOKS THE SAME !!!! Alan Young...well he IS 90 years old.
About Connie..many TV trivia books ( and other websites ) over the years had made the clamim that both Young & Hines really didn't like do Mr. Ed and only took the jobs "..for the paycheck". Actually both Hines and Young denied ever making that claim and both would love to do a reunion of Mr. Ed if given the chance.
Wasn't there plans for a live-action Mr.Ed some years back with Sherman "George Jefferson" Hemsley doing Ed's voice?

notes on mr ed
alan young is a saintly man...connie hines was a living doll back then, too bad tv history sexy ladies lists do not include her. going back only to barbara eden or the girls of gilligans island..i guess there were not any sexy ladies from 1948 to 1965 !

What?
Mr. Drysdale without his toupee? And Wilbur's Lark is featured in the show but it's too bad the original Studebaker commercials are gone.

Glenn Seal of Approval
This show has earned the Glenn Seal of Approval. (if that sounds pompous, think of it as a '5-star plus' rating
An excellent premise (there exists a talking horse) which takes a minimum of suspension of disbelief.
The resulting plotlines are often as classicly comedic as anything produced by Desilu -- and I am a huge fan of Lucille Ball.
This show could be easily a hit even for today's "sophisticated tastes", it would be great to see a remake. Very strange for there to be exactly 2 episodes available in public domain.
