However you could put a playerclip texture infront of it so humans cannot touch it.

As mentioned above if you simply disable spawn...

As mentioned above if you simply disable spawn buttons during combat, name all of your spawn buttons the same thing. It's much easier to disable/enable them on phase change via game_control entity...
