sf_curvature_V2
this map has a special feature that i think will make gameplay much more interesting. in this map, during the first build phase, you can choose which side you want your flag to be on by hitting a button in the middle. if no one chooses before the build phase is over, the map chooses for you.
here are some pics. Overview http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...ure_v20005.jpg Buttons controling flag position. (can only be pressed once) http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...ure_v20018.jpg blue flag http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...ure_v20001.jpg blue spawn http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...ure_v20019.jpg blue block spawner http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...vature0006.jpg A quick base i made (75 block limit) http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...ure_v20010.jpg http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...ure_v20011.jpg So, post whatcha think! |
*your
in the message about which button to press. The floor texture looks a bit too repetitive but yeah, it's a nice generic SF map that probably plays well enough :) |
The whole flag side thing actually sounds quite interesting, but pointless.
|
why is the map called curvature when its not curvy?
|
well... it was curvy at first... but i made major changes to it and just kept the name...
What would you sugest for a better name? |
I like the idea of being ale to choose where you want the flag to be, but what's the point if its exactly the same, just on different sides of your spawn? That just renders half the map useless, maybe if it were that one position was way behind your spawn, but was quite easy to get to, or one that was right in front of your spawn, but hard to get to, then it would be good, but in this case i think its useless. If you can make it work give me a shout and ill play it, it gives SF a bit more interactivity.
