SF, so what's up ?
 

Hi there,

I truly loved this game but had to stop playing it (or any other game actually) a year ago.

I've downloaded the installer and install the game but it crashes as soon as i reach SF splash screen (Error: "could not load library client").

Is there any news about the SF mod ? Is the mod dead ? Is there anything planed ? Is the game still played ?

SF in its current state isn't being developed any longer. Currently, v1.9.4.1 appears to be the last major iteration as any work on 1.9.5 has halted. Project Haven (PH), what many people consider to be SF2.0, is currently in development and progressing nicely. PH is a new game in itself, though, so labeling it as SF2.0 would be unfair, yet it will have similarities.

Not entirely. There are still some players that play regularly, you just have to find out about the proper times so you know when to show up. There's nothing really planned to revive the game, though every so often someone posts on the forums a date for people to play (which has been met with mild, at best, success).

Any website I could check for updates ? The only thing I've been able to find is Project Haven and the post is from 2009

Dunno if it's a bug but my server list remains desperately empty :(

The above link isn't about the current version. You see, over the years, there have been a ton of things that have happened. PH has been the codename for SF2.0 for like 5 years, and many different versions have been scrapped, the above link being one of them. If you're interested in updates, you'll have to rely on when the actual developers release something. Since I'm merely in beta, I'm not qualified to release any information to you other than what's already out there:

There should be at least a couple of servers. You can try searching for empty servers (SourceForts - Search Forums) or wait for someone more knowledgeable than me to come along and help.
