I think it wouldn't because the solid flag would be still shaped as the original ball but there would be a medium hologram above it too symboling the flag's place. Like the hologram wouldn't need to be huge. Just maybe 2-3 ball models stacked above each other. That would be enough big hologram for the flag. In my opinion.
