This game is dead.

Please do something about it.
Will you ever make this game popular?
I loved this game.

it's generally a good idea to have a poke around to see what's happening before posting...

there's currently a new version of sourceforts in beta testing, and going very well. development is presently on hold while zoc does his (much more important) university exams, but rest assured stuff is happening.
as all of the teams' talent is being directed towards this version, it follows that not much is going on with the present iteration of sourceforts: moreover, the game has reached a point where its flaws and problems in gameplay style have been exposed, and the player base has dropped off from the sheer time the game has remained the same.

fingers crossed there will be a new release in the not too distant future, and we'll see a new lease of life in the game we all have fond memories of playing!

xx

But you should declare a "release date"...!!!

release dates don't really do anything other than disappoint; given the voluntary nature of making a mod, the numerous other commitments of the team and moreover the unknown factors in how development will unfold, it's near impossible to predict with any satisfactory degree of accuracy a concrete release date.

all declaring one would do is cause complaints and loss of faith as it fell by the wayside

For example thare is diffrence in:
1. Mod will be ready in 6 months.
2. Mod will be ready in 5 years.

We hava completly no idea when to expect it.

3. Never. Let's be honest here.

Not even Valve can tell their release dates!

Valve Time - Valve Developer Community

Valve Time Tracker - Valve Developer Community

Relax, we're working on the mod. "Soon" it will be done :)

Sorry, but I think someone lied to you.

And for the release date, let's do it Blizzard-style: it's done when it's done.
